The cooperation protocol between Cyprus and Russia, which was discussed and prepared at the 8th meeting of the Intergovernmental Cyprus – Russia Committee for Economic Cooperation in Nicosia earlier this month, has been approved.
The protocol concerns multiple areas of common interest, including the following: economy, commerce, industry, energy, transportations, agriculture and livestock, tourism, culture, education, research and investments.
On the 25th of February, Nicos Anastasiades and Vladimir Putin will sign the protocol, during the Cypriot President’s official visit to Russia between the 24th and the 27th of February. Additional cooperation agreements in the commercial shipping, telecommunications and military industries are expected to be signed as well.
