Savvas graduated with Bachelor of Laws and Master of Laws in International Financial Law from the University of Sussex. He was admitted to the Cyprus Bar in 2022 and has since built comprehensive expertise in a wide range of corporate, commercial and regulatory matters. Savvas joined AGPLAW in 2024 supporting further the Corporate-Commercial and Banking & Finance practices.

His legal journey started with various internships with prestigious law firms, in Cyprus and then in London. Upon graduation, Savvas joined a US global firm, a powerhouse in international tax compliance services where he was engaged with complex legal tax cases, advising clients on cross-border tax compliance matters and managing a portfolio of over 100 enterprises in various jurisdictions while he drafted and reviewed numerous contracts, statutory and corporate documents. Subsequently, he worked in major law firms and a renowned financial services institution where he gained invaluable experience in corporate and commercial transactions and regulatory advisory.

Savvas advises on the establishment and management of international corporate structures and in drafting and negotiating corporate and commercial agreements, including Share Purchase and Shareholders Agreements, Legal Opinions, and Due Diligence reports. He also provides insightful guidance across multiple areas of corporate taxation and regulatory compliance as well as advising on EU sanctions.

Savvas represents large groups and multinational corporations, offering comprehensive counsel on mergers and acquisitions, as well as general corporate affairs. His expertise extends to business law, covering various transactional activities and Intellectual Property matters, while also providing trust services. Additionally, Savvas is involved in insolvency matters and handles companies’ liquidations and strike-offs with proficiency.
